I own the larger t-bar keypad and have happily integrated this with vMix using shortcuts assigned to keys.

Today I plugged in a second 24 key keypad and was surprised to see this took over channel 1 and set my existing keypad to channel 2. This meant that all my assigned shortcut keys stopped working.

Please can you advise on how I can plug the new smaller unit in and it be assigned to channel 2 keeping my existing setup as is?

Alex

Reverse the order, by plugging in the X-keys 24 keypad first, and then plug in the larger T-Bar keypad. If all of your T-Bar shortcuts are back on channel 1, then you may have a solution. But you'd always have to connect them in that order.

I would think having two (2) X-keys connected at the same time could cause some issues unless you assign/map out all of your shortcuts with both X-keys units plugged in. I would think they share some MIDI-notes.

We have this issue with two XK-80's.

I believe my only solution was to close vMix. Unplug both. Plug the first one in. Then the other. Then restart vMix.

Unfortunately I had one that would spontaneously disconnect and reconnect in the middle of a broadcast. Basically rendered one useless until the broadcast was over.

Once vMix knows which one is which, it works fine. You can assign shortcuts to each unit. (they don't share MIDI-notes).

I don't have two X-keys units, so thanks for the info that they do not share MIDI-notes.
