Any suggestions from the brain trust about a camera that could produce smooth video and have a wide enough angle to stream a baseball game unattended?

and cost is a major factor...

Many choices, GoPro, SJCAM, Sony action cams such as the HDR-AS200V, various GoPro knockoffs. It depends on what your budget ceiling is.

@ kjones9999

Looks to be a security camera of some sort in your link.
What kind of set-up are you considering?
(i.e. permanent or mobile)

My main concern is a smooth image... I would also like to have POE too- and use as an RTSP stream. These arent deal breakers, but would be nice-- my issue is I just don't have enough experience with security cams to know if they will give a smooth image even with a stated 30fps capability.

mjgraves has posted several times about Grandstream IP cameras. Hopefully he'll jump in with a reply.

If cost are a major factor check the following Axis cameras.
All 1080p/30 with horizontal angels over 100° and PoE

Axis M3045-V
Axis M1065-L
Axis M2025-LE

With the plugin Camstreamer all Axis cameras are able to stream directly to CDN's like YouTube without streaming device.
We use Axis for sport streaming, you also can get models with 60fps.
Axis produced 20 years ago the first IP camera worldwide and still is market leader in network cameras and in the category surveillance cameras.
