Hi admin (or others) :-)

I am testing a setup with two cameras feeding 1920x1080 into vMix using two Intensity Pro capture cards. Camera 1 is connected using Component and camera 2 using HDMI.

I just started vMix and connect the cameras. I am not using the software (it just sits there), but slowly a delay builds up on the feed from the cameras. Within 15-20 minutes the delay is aprox. 1 second (that is, when i move the camera, it takes 1 sec. before i can see the movement i vMix).

If I close the input and add it again, the delay is gone, but builds up again over the next 15-20 minutes. It seems to stop at the 1 sec. delay though. It doesn't keep building.

Any ideas?

I have the following hardware:
2 x Panasonic HDC-SD700 cameras
2 x Intensity Pro video capture cards
A newly build computer:
Gigabyte P67A-UD7 motherboard
Intel Cure i7 2600K CPU
8GB Kingston ValueRam 1300
XFX Radeon HD 5670 graphicscard (ATI)
Windows 7 Home Premium (Aero)

Hi Daniel,

vMix is by nature buffering free so the only potential cause for the delay is either the Intensity Pro drivers or the camera itself.
Try seeing if switching between the 59.94i and 60i modes in vMix makes any difference. (if using NTSC)
The difference between 59.94i and 60i is about one second every 16 minutes so it seems to match up with what you are seeing.

Also try plugging the cameras directly into an LCD television to see if the same issue presents itself there.

Regards,

Martin
