Hello everyone,

I would like to use vMix to randomly play hundreds of music videos I have saved over time.

Just wanted to know if PlayList has a limit as to number of items allowed.

Please if someone can let me know!

Hi,

In theory it might be possible, but it is not recommended.
vMix works by loading every video prior to building a PlayList which may not be suitable for applications where a large number of videos is required.

In comparison, JukeBox style programs would load the video just prior to needing them and allow an unlimited number of videos.
A video queueing input feature may be added at a later date if there is enough demand.

Hello Martin,

Just checking on this feature again. Has there been any demand about the playlist functionality? Anything implemented in the program so far?

Also, what programs do you suggest for jukebox functionality like what I'm looking for. Basically, I want to play a number of videos in order or randomly with short "ads" in between and possibly a logo at the top?

Hi,

A "Video List" feature is in the current version of vMix allowing you to select and randomise a large list of videos.
