vMix Stopped Recording Unexpectedly

Recently, I've had vMix stop recording when trying to use the MuliCorder to record two 4K camera feeds. This will happen several times when attempting to record, where only 1 out of 4 tries will succeed in actually recording. The error that I receive is as follows. "RE_MultiCorder.Recording Value does not fall within the expected range." Multicorder worked with little fail in the past. Help would be appreciated. vMix 2-3-22.jpg (493kb) downloaded 7 time(s).Currently using... vMix - 24.0.0.72 OS - Windows 10 CPU - i7-11700K @ 3.60GHz GPU - RTX 3080 RAM - 32.0 GB

I don't know the issue, but I noticed that the only 2 checkboxes on your MultiCorder are the 2 DeckLink inputs. For the sake of troubleshooting, it might help to know if you run into the same issue routing the 2 DeckLink to 2 of the outputs and running the MultiCorder on those outputs. Similarly, if you have a built in or USB webcam, you might try running the MultiCorder on that input (without the 2 DeckLinks) as well. You also might want to try running the MultiCorder on both DeckLink inputs individually, rather than together, to see if that has any effect. Lastly, I'd suggest running the MultiCorder on 2 outputs with absolutely no inputs open to see its default behavior. This might be something you want to contact Support about directly. The troubleshooting steps I suggested are likely overkill, but it's everything I can think of that would help narrow down the problem if it's not a known-issue. EDIT: Also try a different file type/codec.

I had a chance to troubleshoot it with your suggestions.
I tried only checking and recording 1 DeckLink input at a time, but MultiCorder still gave me the same error message. Trying different codecs, I was able to record with zero error messages. I tried scaling back on the MP4 settings, but it still failed to record half the time.
I did re-route the DeckLink Inputs to Output 1 and 2. (By going into Settings-->Outputs/NDI/SRT, and changed Output 1 to Input 1, and so forth) MultiCorder was able to record without fail each time!

Upon further troubleshooting, I had tried to record 15 seconds of footage on both cameras using the DeckLink as inputs, and one where I re-route them as outputs and see if there was any discernible differences (at least through file details: see attached). I'm wondering if the slight FPS difference is what may be causing the issue? I had double checked all input settings to make sure I was recording at 30p and not 29.97p with the DeckLink, but may have overlooked something? vMix 2-4-22.jpg (320kb) downloaded 1 time(s).I had also tried switching my cameras recording mode to 24P, and changed vMix's recording settings to match it. MultiCorder did not give me errors at all again. But just to reiterate, 2 DeckLink inputs, recording at 30P (or 29.97...) in MP4 with MultiCorder is specifically causing vMix to give me the error for every other recording attempt.

You'll probably want to contact Support directly-- here's the link. If you specify "Technical Support", it'll show you how to send them logs automatically. That it's apparently only in MP4 and only on the inputs means something probably isn't playing nice with something else. When it's set to record an input, the MultiCorder does it without any processing, which means it can sometimes be a bit temperamental. Personally, I try to only use the MultiCorder on Outputs for that reason, since, that way, I know what I'm going to get. If that's an option for you, it seems like it'd be a good workaround, but I think you should still follow up with Support, just in case there's an issue they need to tweak.
