I updated to the latest Streamdeck software and this breaks the vMix support. I deinstalled the vmix plugin/extension in streamdeck and tried to reinstall. But it doesn't install finally. I says it does but if you come back by browsing elsewhere it offers again to install it.
I don't know if that is more a vMix issue providing an update for the extension inside the streamdeck software or more a streamdeck issue that needs to be addressed with them.

Workaround:
Revert back to some 4.x version.

Is this still an issue for people, or can I just update? I haven't done so yet.

I had our new Stream Deck (OG) working fine for about a month with vMix 24 and Stream Deck version 5
But the vMix shortcuts no longer have separate key IDs for UP vs DOWN.
This means any assigned action starts when you push the Stream Deck button, but immediately stops when you release the button!
I tried uninstalling and reinstalling the software etc. without any improvement, then I finally figured out the button codes are tied to the Profile.
I created an entirely new Profile with out any improvement.

that's weird mine says "StreamDeckButtonUp" or "StreamDeckButtonUpDown" to trigger a function on either one of the actions (using vMix SD plugin)

Thanks doggy!
Mine says almost the same thing:
"StreamDeckButtonDown" with key code EG:[AB123] when I press the vMix shortcut button and
"StreamDeckButtonUp" with key code EG:[AB123] when I release the button.
NOTE: it's returns the SAME key code EG:[AB123] for BOTH button actions!

When I was first programming my Stream Deck everything worked fine (returned different key codes for each vMix shortcut button action). But last week it broke (stopped giving different key codes for SDButtonDown and SDButtonUp) so I can't add any new shortcuts.

Note: all other aspects of my Stream Deck (with other apps) all still work fine.
My only problem (so far) is that vMix ShortCut Stream Deck Plugin no longer provides separate key codes for Down and Up.
But it is a very frustrating problem because I am just building my vMix "macro library"!
