Hi all, couldnt find this specific thing with search so making a new request.
Feature: Error popup/message if there is a problem with recordings.
Use case: Currently you don't get errors or a popup if there is any issues with recordings.
Two things that can happen unknowingly: High number of dropped frames on either Recording or Multicorder. This causes gaps in the recording. The second is if you remove the file location for you recording, when you click record, it will light up red as usual, but there won't be a recording.
Most of the issues with recordings can be solved easily by an operator, but currently there is no warning.

Where are you setting the recording location ? if through recording setup tab one gets an error if the filename is left blank. if one omits a location ( only name ) it will record to the locations specified in the setup Default location can not just be deleted or made blank, Needs to be set through a browser search if one messes with the recording format (nodate/time) you will still have a recording, a new one will overwrite the old one though Recording information tab during recording should tell you where the recording is going to Unknowingly seems ....

Its not so much about where you set it. Its about the where being moved or deleted.
In one of our workflows we record to a project folder that gets moved or deleted afterwards. Its all about when one of our OPS forgets to change/set a destination on a new production. There is nothing warning him the recording isnt working as intended, the record button will actually still light up red.

+1 For "Record" warning (the button will turn yellow, as on "stream") when frames are dropped from the recording
