I am evaluating the demo version of vMix Pro for a church.The camera is a Sony SRG-X400 and external control is with Elgato Streamdeck.
I can connect to the camera via Sony VISCA over IP but not via Sony CGI PTZ. Error is: The remote server returned an error: (401) Unauthorized.
In the camera settings, all security settings such as RTSP Authentication, and Referer Check have been disabled.
CGI commands to the camera work fine through a web browser as do shortcuts loaded to the Streamdeck.
What I wish to make happen is this:
Have vMix send CGI commands to the camera to recall the CAMERA PTZ presets, not the vMix PTZ virtual inputs.
Why? Because i wish to use the "freeze picture" function of the camera while moving between PTZ presets so that the viewer does not see camera PTZ movement.
Is vMix able to do this?
Is there a reason I cannot use the Sony CGI PTZ function in vMix or will that still not achieve what I am striding for?
