I am currently trying to set up an automated system for our broadcaster (Play by Play announcer) to cue commercial breaks for live streams. I know there are one-key shortcuts with hotkeys to play the actual video input, but I'm wanting a 10-second music outro.
For example, he notices a timeout in basketball and cues commercial, vMix doesn't cut inputs yet, but plays a song while we stay on our main camera, after 8-10 seconds, cuts to commercials and turns off audio.
I have played with the triggers and got most of this work, but I'm struggling to get the music to cue up. Any help?

Here's what I'm thinking:
1. Create a shortcut to put the 10 Second music file into an overlay layer of your choice.
2. In the triggers for that specific audio input, create one for "OnCompletion > Cut > [Commercial Input You've Already Created]"
So, when you use the shortcut to start the music, it'll play for 10 seconds, and when it's done, it'll cut over to the commercials (that I assume you've already set to mute the mics and such).
Let me know if this works for you!

That did it! It never crossed my mind to use the audio file as an overlay. The plan is to have hotkeys broken down into a row of 30 seconds, a row of 60 seconds, and a row of 2/4 minutes commercial breaks all with different songs for outros and different ads and different intro songs coming back in from break. That way they can essentially run the broadcast with just one button presses.
