Curious if anyone has experience with lots of 4K NDI streams.
So far I've tested 5 Birddog P400's sending 4K to vMix. Works fine (wouldn't recommend trying it on 1Gb ethernet - you'd be maxed out).
My goal is to get to 10 4K camera inputs. Anyone done that? I just don't have enough cams on premise to test now.
Test setup is an i9-11900k with 128GB RAM, Geforce 3090 with 24GB and 10GB fiber LAN.
GPU mem gets to about 35% or so with my 5 camera test and nothing else in project. With more cams plus everything else that goes into production, I could see that being a potential bottleneck. Considering testing with an A6000 (48GB) card.
I also plan on teaming the 10GB fiber NIC (it's dual) to 20GB in order to provide adequate bandwidth breathing room.
Theoretically it will work...just wondering if anyone has actually done it? We're mocing facilities and would like to go with NDI instead of SDI, but I'm a little nervous about pulling the trigger on it.
Thanks

That is quite the spec! We can't even get a reliable feed without dropping frames at 1080p50! Be interested to hear the results of your testing. What motherboard are you using?

Whats your cpu usage with 5 4k cams in task manager?
If you want to test the limits add the same NDI cameras again.
Thx!
