                It would be very helpful in my opinion, if the output asignements would be done by input name rather than input number, or make a choice available. Then the output asignements would not shift around when adding or closing inputs before the assigned input.(as an example: Output 4 is asigned to Input 18. When closing input 5, Output 4 now is asigned to Input 17)

 totally agree, its actually dangerous at the moment with the input numbers. I use Input 1-2-3-4 for my outputs and hope they dont move and change my outputs ...

                +1I made a similar request 4 years ago, although I do not remember if it was possible back then to redefine the source of Output (hence I did not request tha "name functionality" for Outputs).

                +1 But I want to add something to the request if you rename the input that the output is smart enough to know this (or give the user the option to choose between name and number).

                best way would be to use the GUID but display the Input Name imho. |

                +1Ive had stream issues occur because of accidently closing one input. Shifted all 3 of the outputs. Was not a great time working out what happened.
