What are the biggest variables for latency when doing a live output?
Is there a difference between running a quad capture card in a high speed PCI-E slot vs 4 single capture cards? Is there a overall speed of the motherboard that will largely affect latency of capture and subsequently the live out? How large a variable is the CPU as well as the GPU for total latency? What areas of the workstation are the most important when reducing the overall latency?
We are looking to upgrade our 2 1080i60p capture cards to 1080p60 capture cards. Will this increase latency because of the additional data?

Anyone? What affects the output latency in a large way?
SSD in the comp? Fast Video Card? Motherboard/chipset? CPU?

The GPU affects o lot the latency. The processor too and Input card and number of input at the same time. With a "bad" GPU, I had like 1.4 sec of latency and missing frame !! My best time is with titan, i7 extreme and Magewell 4x HDSDI input. The latency is about 150 msec. I don't think you can go under.
