So I ended up with a spare Aja Kona 4 card and I was thinking about selling it but then I thought about getting an enclosure for it and using it with a laptop. I know it requires 8 PCI lanes and most thunderbolt 3 enclosures I’ve found only are able to use 4 pci lanes. So my question is has anyone tried the Kona 4 or even the Decklink Quad 2 in a thunderbolt enclosure and what was your experience? Will it work at all or will it just be limited?

Thanks for any help.

Have you looked at the Sonnet Echo Express SE III?
