Hi -

I’m building another vmix machine. It will host up to 8 calls and lots of NDI sources along with a capture card. I’m curious which is more important, core count or clock speed. And does memory speed matter in the least?

I’ve also quickly realized that only the HEDT parts have enough CPU lanes to support everything I need. Here is what I’m considering:
Intel x299 (gigabyte x299x aurus master)
I9-10900X or 10940X (900 has higher clock and 940 has more cores)
RTX-3080
Kona SDI capture
10gb NIC
2 nvme drives
4x 16GB RAM (does speed matter at all?)

The Intel HEDT parts are also much less expensive than AMD right now.
