We use vMix Instant Replay very much in sport events.
Afterward we always create a highlight/speed edit from the complete event to show at the end.

When editing this we use music for the background. The problem is that you always need to start again to listen to the music.
If you skip to the next event, the music just continious. This way it's really hard to create an edit together with the music, with the right length.

You need to listen it over and over again, sometimes to only edit a few frames at the end. This is really hard to do with limited time.

I would like a function to sync the music together with the time from the eventlist. So that if you skip a event is just start at the end of the list, it's sync with the music. I understand that when playing the highlight at the end, i can't change the speed from the clips.

Regards,
Hylke

Or do you call my request a 'video editor'?

You are doing a post edit so would using a video editor not be more suited ?

It would be if we would deliver it later.
But we're editing in a live situation. For example a soccer game.
After the soccer game we would like to have a highlight from the game. So it has to be really quick and realtime.
If we use a normal video editor, we have to import everything, edit it, export it, and later import it into vMix to play it.
That would be way to slow.

This is a great request, I have the same issue. The way around I have used is to use a shortcut to record 12s of video when a goal is scored, that then replays at 60% speed and at 1.3x Zoom, and I play a pre-recorded 20s clip of audio at the same time, as a trigger of the replay. It works, but it is a workaround ...

We grab the clips we need as the event progresses and add them to an Adobe Premire Pro timeline, prerendering as we go. Its connected back to vmix via NDI, so when we're ready we do a quick render of the final clips (this should take seconds if you're prerendering along the way) and play the highlights straight from the timeline in Premiere.
