In September we're going to be webcasting a board meeting for a client. The board members will be local with a couple of cameras and several table mics connected to my vMix PC. They want to allow 9 others to connect via Microsoft Teams. I'm thinking of having a separate computer running the Microsoft Teams end, and connect that to the vMix machine via NDI. I'll also have the output from the Teams computer routed via HDMI to an external monitor for the local board members to see. I'll need to send the Master back to the Teams computer so the remotes can see what's going on.
Tim's tutorial on connecting vMix and Teams pertains to both running on the same machine, but I'm afraid that might overload the PC I'm using, plus, I'm not a 'Teams Guy', and I'd rather have it separate so that one of my client's Teams specialists can run that end.
So how would I return the Master to the Teams callers?

Option #1: You run a cable and insert in the headphone/mic of the computer Option #2: You send it via NDI. You would need a video feed of the room anyway Option #3: You send the audio over the network using Dante

Just use NDI - Webcam Input on your separate 'Teams Machine'.
You can pick any of your vMix outputs from there (provided in Settings > Outputs you enable one, and pair the correct bus you want to send)
In Teams, you can then just select Newtek NDI for both the video & audio, and bobs your uncle.

Use a multi computer setup. Teams is known to consume more than needed. I would advice to send a custom multiview back to the people in teams. Presentation, stage. What is normally send out and a clock.
These are all easy steps. Make sure you put the audio from the remote participants on a seperate channel in vmix and do the same for the local presenters. And route it the same way on an audio mixer that will be used to amplify the audio locally. This because otherwise people will hear themselves back in the Teams meeting.
