voice shortcuts meyhem - random shortcuts trigger for no reason

I did a demonstration last night and had to stop to disable all of my voice triggered shortcuts.

I have the preset configured with voice shortcuts to:
  • bring up each camera
  • zoom in on current input
  • zoom out on current input
  • overlay the front camera
  • remove overlay
  • bring up titles based on key words


I have tested this and practiced no less than 15 times with no issues.
unfortunately, as soon as I started the session (Zoom) last night, random things started happening.
Cameras would randomly zoom in (current and preview)
Title would appear randomly and repeatedly.
Current input would change randomly.

this even happened when nobody was talking when we were waiting for people to join.

I thought that maybe the mic was picking up output from my TV that I had the meeting displayed on....I muted that I put in earbuds...no change
I thought my confidence tolerance was too low so I brought it up to 90%....no difference.

I'd like to use this feature, but it needs to be reliable.
Has anyone seen this behavior? is there a solution?

Try using phrases instead of words.

I do use phrases...
The problem is they are triggering even when nobody is talking...silence.

I did get a response from vmix on this saying that voice uses windows text to voice and it might be related to the connection to Zoom and how windows interacts.

I was preparing for a demo the other night and turned everything on in my shop...did not start zoom yet so ONLY VMIX was running on my computer.
I went upstairs to have dinner...and when I came back down I could see that some of the voice shortcuts had run.
- current input had changed
- 2 inputs had zoomed in
- 2 titles were running - 1 ticket, 1 title


so...voice shortcuts seem to trigger randomly sometimes even in an unoccupied, quite space.
at this point, I have to give up on voice until it is reliable...which is too bad because when it works it is great.
