Hello,
For a project, I'm looking for an external capture card (like decklink etc.) in USB.
The fact is I'm using a laptop for my VMIX then it's not possible for me to use PCI capture cards.
I'm already using "classic" capture card but i'm looking for a way to use "External output" functionality.
Does anyone could help me with that ?
Thank you in advance, Yann

I'm a little confused. For an External Capture Device (HDMI or SDI --> USB3) I recommend a Magewell. They work are driverless.
For an External type Output, why not use a HDMI port included with your laptop video card. If you need SDI Out, add a converter. Or better yet a Black Magic Video Assist 4k which can record, you can see the picture and it can convert.
If you are looking for USB --> HDMI, you would need a usb video card which could be restricted as a typical USB bus isn't great for video output. However if you have a USB C port, sometimes a USBC to HDMI will work. It uses you existing video chipset on your laptop. Depends if your laptop can do that or not.
