Hey Martin good day Sir,
I'm not sure if this was requested already.
Could you please add a feature for us to receive Skype calls into vmix
Some times in our Sunday Service and other functions we want to receive video calls from another of our Church body internationally.
Maybe a miniter sending greetings to our local body.

Receiving a Skype call is more complex than the it initially seems.
The big problem is running Skype on the same PC would create an echo.

There is a knowledge base article below that describes one method of bringing in Skype
using an audio mixer and a separate PC.

Hello,
It would be a great feature to add skype integration in Vmix so that we don't need another PC and capture cards.

I think that the great guys at Vmix can do it because Toolbox from Vidigo does this. You can check it here and download a free trial:

Hi zeryab,

The skype API is being discontinued so it can no longer be used.

Note that vidigo sends skype to a decklink output on the computer, so you still need another computer to do the mixing.
And this is important to understand (see my article above). You need two computers because of the audio
requirements necessary for a skype production, it is not possible to do the necessary mix minus etc without a separate PC.

vMix, may I suggest that you get in contact with http://www.vodburner.com - a good product that records Skype calls, and it still works after this Dec 2013 deadline -- and make a deal. They do the work, and you provide a trial version of their product [a Plugin for vMix] with your software.

This is something I would be prepared to pay extra for.

I've signed up for Skype TX. And yes, you are right - it does sound expensive.

The current products that allow recording of Skype video calls only use the Skype API to determine when the video call starts and stops. Capturing the audio and the video is done by injecting a DLL into the Skype process space and hooking the DirectX API.

It is something that would be achievable by a good programmer.
