Sorry I can't find the solution through searching the forums.

My setup:
1 lower third "title 20- stripey.gtzip"
1 Data source: named "TST" on sheet 1 excel document with 30 different speakers and titles
Overlay Settings: Effect Duration 1000, Duration 7000


My desire:
I use a keyboard shortcut to fire a lower third using the "animation of the lower third loading in" and pulling the 1st speakers name and title from the "TST" data source. After the lower third animates out after staying on screen for 7 seconds, I want the next speaker to load into the lower third ready for me to use the same short cut to repeat the animation of the same lower third but use the next name and title on the "TST data source.

There seem to be so many triggers and combinations of triggers, I don't have the time to figure out the right configuration.

Can you help me know which triggers I need?

Side note: It doesn't matter to me if can see the next speaker ready to go in the preview window, but that would be a plus. I have found that if the lower third is already 'loaded' in the preview window I don't know how to fire the load in animation, it just "cuts" the lower third to the active screen.

A shortcut to overlay the title
Triggers in this title set to onoverlayout datasourceNextRow (specify datasource)

That's it

Personally i would not use a duration in the overlay settings but first add a trigger onoverlayin to overlayout after delay but is fine if you do not have t use that specific overly for other items

With all due respect but you should take the time to at least learn some basics of vMix use!

I absolutely did not intend for your feelings to be hurt nor offended. I have already spent several hours actually on this very issue. And yes, I did already figure out the "onoverlayout datasourceNextRow" solution. I knew that if I posted here in the forums someone like you could help me out much faster than me fumbling my way through it. It is SO nice to be able to lean on the expertise of people who have spent many more hours with this fantastic program.

I have been using vMix for 2-3 years now and yes I rarely ask for help as I don't want to inconvenience others. I apologize that my statement came across as demanding or rude. That was never my intention. I really appreciate you taking the time to help.

However, my problem still exists.

If use only your solution, then I find myself having to:
1. Right click in title window and select, "TransitionIn" so that it will remove the title from the preview window
2. Click to activate overlay 1
3. Then click the play button to run the animation of the title in the active window.
That is a lot of steps to reset the title to play correctly for every speaker.

Are there other triggers that can automate those?

one does NOT Transition a title but OVERLAYS it (you did set duration etc for it already) ! This will trigger the title animation

one shortcut with trigger set as mentioned is all one has to do , press a button for the shortcut to operate .
why need the title in the preview window anyway ? but if one insists trigger it to put it in preview on overlayout
