I saw a cool programfunction xsplit vcam were you could change the backround without green screen

Some AI stuff that tracked the talent

That would be great in vmix

+1 ;)

Can this be added as a feature to 'advanced.vmixcall.com' please? Had a live drop out on us the other day as the person had Snap Camera on their Mac and vMix call defaulted to that, as they wanted to hide their background, but it crashed their Mac.

This something what our customer asked us every week. And thats why our customers choose Teams or Zoom instead of VMIX call. Virtual background and blurred background can be a really usefull feautre!
thanks 1 user thanked pba for this useful post.

I do confirm that customers asked for it every single day !

Today we need to use Zoom or Teams, (1:1 I mean to replace Vmix caller, 1 Teams = 1 Caller), to get people with an image backrground. But doing 4 teams in the same time on 4 different laptops integrated to Vmix is a little tricky.

Another alternative is to ship Elgato Green screen to each VMIX talker before the event. Last time I had 60 talkers in 2 days ... so not possible

People are now used to have an image background in their Zoom or Teams, and having an external Vmix caller with a non image background is more and more difficult to accept for customers (and to sell for us)

Also, it will gives us the availability to propose full virtual sets at the end with 2 talkers on the same Input/Virtual Studio.

So for me, it is mandatory as we have to find alternative solutions for customers need (for the event market).

Sure it will arrive soon, Go VMIX Go !

+1. This is a fairly frequent client request (although quality doesn't seem to be a major factor, given the examples I've seen!).

The Nvidia broadcast SDK supports real-time background removal on RTX cards, so maybe vMix could look into supporting that (not sure how resource hungry it is):

+1 - I know the way Teams & zoom do it is 'shoddy', but that's literally all we need to keep clients happy.

Perhaps still make it a permission for each caller on vMix side though as to whether they're allowed it (to stop people from going rogue and ruining a production because they insist on blurring themselves!)

Zoom, Skype, and Teams can do this, so our clients are don't understand why its not available with VMIX call. Because of this, our clients dropped the vmix call, which is painfull thing for us. The another missing thing is the webcam + screensharing in parallel, but this is another story...

So yes, here is my +1 for the virtual background/blurred background for vmix call without green screen!

I hate the result, as it typically looks terrible). But the callers we prep daily want this feature, and in the end our customers who pay the bill. Also heard comments from them about vMix Call not being pro stuff (like Teams and Zoom).
I do understand this feature is rather demanding on the callers computers, but the same goes for other apps...

Clients are demanding blurred backgrounds now. Everyone is used to this in other software.
Please provide timeline for availability in vMix Caller.

+1 Reinforcing previous comments, virtual background or at least a blurred background would drastically improve our clients experience. I have clients who work with us regularly using obs to blur background or create virtual background and then come into vMix call via obs camera.
