Hi everyone,

any idea what I'm doing wrong? I'm using a brand-new and very fast msi laptop and the AJA io 4k plus. Adding cameras to the production works fine. Outputing doesn't. At the "External Output Settings" in VMix all looks good. I can choose from five io 4k plus outputs and pick HDMI or SDI from the ports dropdown menu. However, I just don't get anything on the screen which I hooked up to the io 4k plus: neither HDMI nor SDI.

I can however do a so called full screen output by connecting the extra monitor to my laptops HDMI-Output. But that doesn't solve my problem. I want to output a video signal together with a specified audio bus. Which should work through the io 4k plus.


Hope one of you guys has an idea.

Have you checked your device settings in AJA ControlPanel?

Thanks, SportsnetUSA. Yes, I have. but I have no idea what the specs should be like. Most items are set to “auto”.
Are you familiar with the control panel?

I usually use SDi port 4 for output (Note that the 5th SDI monitor port will not work with VMix).

Only four connections can be used at once in vMix. For example three SDI inputs and one SDI output

Did you turn on the External output with the button on the lower left side of the vMix screen?
