Preview image to Add Input -> Camera, so the user can instantly see if the selected input and settings are working.

Can you elaborate? I'm not sure I understand the request.
Sounds like you want to see the image in preview before you input it into vMix???

Ah yes, a thumbnail preview and not in "Preview" screen.
I'm not sure how feasible this is but definitely a bonus, especially for selecting and numbering cameras from a multi-input capture card or USB and Firewire ports.

This little window will make it much easier to add a camera as an input. Because so you don't add the wrong input channel of a multi-channel capture device or add the camera with a wrong resolution. So you don't have to close the input and reload it again. This would be interesting for every kind of input. So a small window for videos/images would be useful, too

Ice Yes, like this:  This is a very good idea, I've mention this before in a feature request, i would differently love to see this in the next release of vMix.
