Setting up sending video with SRT from the sports venue to remote commentators to call games. In testing I've sent video/audio to my remote commentator in a vMix (Pro) to vMix (HD) with SRT using the Rendezvous setting.

However, trying that same test with a Kiloview E2 Encoder, I'm getting nothing, though we used all the same settings (public IP address, ports, etc.)

The Kiloview is connected to the Internet because I've tested sending an RTMP stream to my CDN twice. Any tips on what I'm doing incorrectly? Thanks.

SRT over internet is different from SRT over a closed network.
Over Internet you need to work with Caller Mode and Listener Mode, and you have to open ports in your router at the listener side.
We use Kiloview E1 encoders and Kiloview D300 decoders without any problems standalone or with vMix.

Perhaps you misunderstood. My vMix to vMix SRT test was over the Internet, not a closed network.

Are you saying the Kiloview only works in Caller and Listener mode? If so, why would Rendezvous be included as an option?

In theory, a connection between two computers over the Internet is possible, but in most cases it does not work because the router uses PAT. (Port and Address Translation)
I have never been able to establish a rendezvous connection over the Internet. But I always managed to establish a connection with Caller and Listener, if I could open some ports on the listner side.

Here is a detailed description about problems with Rendevous and open internet, on the Kiloview homepage.

Why Aren't People Using SRT's Rendezvous Mode?

Thank you for the link.

Interesting info from Kiloview. I believe I tried Caller/Listener mode in my testing once, but I could be mistaken. I will run some additional tests using Caller and Listener.
