I'm working on a staged reading online stream that will include 8 vmix callers. I have set up different scenes with anywhere from 1-4 callers at a time sometimes using preloaded virtual sets (the plain box styles) and sometimes using multi-view. What I am asking is, when I have 3 or more boxes is it possible to move the boxes in virtual set or multi-view in a preset motion or controlled manner while live? I am hoping to see the boxes (and video feed) moving as they transition over a set amount of time. The best I've come up with is a coordinated merge planning but this transition is not quite right and too quick for what I need. Hopefully the pictures help explain.
Thanks for any help,

Edited to make pic a hyperlink as I didn't post it right to show the pic here.

I think I understand what you are asking. If so, then it is possible. I move inputs all the time in this way. I use the blank virtual sets for that. I make the input the background of the virtual set and then set each "zoom" level to a location. The movement is a straight line and there is not an incredible amount of control over speed. But it works well. The benefit is you can also layer titles and frames onto the virtual sets so they move with the caller. So for what you are trying I think it is 4 virtual set inputs each with a caller as background. Those inputs can all be put into a different layer of another input and then moved around via shortcut to the needed zoom level.

Maybe someone else has a better way. But that is my method.

Do you do this with more than one box at a time? As I understand your explanation it makes sense for one box but I'm not sure how to do multiples. I'll play around and see what I find. Thanks for the info!

Yes, I do it with more than one caller/input.

In this first link I do it with 5 inputs at one time. Go to the 10 minute and 45 second mark (00:10:45) to see. During all the introductions you can see them all moving around to some extent. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/893377403

In this link I do it with 7 inputs at one time over a camera. You can see it at the 2 hour 29 minute 28 second mark (02:29:28). https://www.twitch.tv/videos/947186387

Are these the kind of motions you are talking about?

And how could these effects be achieved, you could make a guide, let's say with 5 entries, as the first example, translated from Spanish - English by google

I'm sorry. I don't really have the capacity at the moment to create a guide. The best I can do is this:

 • Put each of the inputs you want to move around into Blank Virtual Inputs; one for each.
 • Size and locate each zoom level in each of those Virtual Inputs.
 • Put each of the inputs you created into the layer of a Transparent input.
 • Create shortcuts assigned to keys that will move each of those inputs to each zoom level in each of the Virtual Inputs.
 • Create a multi-key press shortcut for each full change you want that calls all of the zoom levels required at the same time.
 • Add Transparent input to the appropriate layer of your program out.

I know this is not a guide. But I hope it helps.

Yeah the second video looks like movement that if positioned different might be able to do what I'm asking. Thanks.

To clarify using the first video which is set up closer to what I'm attempting. I'm trying to create a move where 4 boxes move at the same time i.e. Nobby slides over to Hul'Kogan's spot, Hul'kogan slides down to Tayngo's spot, Tayngo slides over to Emma West's spot and Emma West slides up to Nobby's spot.

Your second list makes sense and I'll try it out tonight.
Thanks again,

Update! I had a little time now and yes this works great! Thanks KnightHeart! I did find that the longest merge transition I can do is 9000ms but I think that is enough for what I'll need.
