We are using Vmix and have a decklink 4k sdi render card. We are needing to send out the signal through coaxial to our local cable company. What do I need to use to convert the sdi to get a signal to put on a tv? Coaxial is the only input into the box that sends the signal to the cable company. Any help would be appreciated.

Search for: hdmi to coaxial cable adapter for tv

Should be easy to get one...

My capture card only has SDI. Is there something that would covert that directly or do I need to go SDI to HDMI to coaxial?

You might be in over your head a bit.

Coaxial is a pretty generic term. SDI and analog video, RF, and even analog audio (I'm looking at you, subwoofer lovers) can use coaxial cable, just to name a few.

You're best off getting in touch with the cable company and asking for exact parameters. A manual for the box you're referencing wouldn't hurt either.

If they're expecting QAM or ATSC, there's parameters you need to know anyway. On top of that, those encoding/modulator boxes are expensive, so you want to get that right the first time.
