What the heck?
I have been doing a lot of coding on shortcuts the last two days and constantly saving my presets. Apparently, saving presets does NOT save shortcuts. I opened my preset this evening and ALL MY NEW SHORTCUTS ARE GONE!
I have shorts from a month ago.
Seriously, what the hell?

Hi, The 'preset' contains your media inputs, your configuration (including shortcuts) can be exported from the 'settings' menu. If you're used to other software, where saving a 'project' file saves all the related information - content and configuration - then the vMix approach may come as a surprise. However, keeping presets & settings separate means that I can, for example, prepare a show preset on one machine at home, then open that preset on the machine in the studio without the settings getting mixed up. There's a list of what's included in the preset files here (for v23): https://www.vmix.com/help23/P.S. Forgot to to say that any shortcuts with the 'local' option selected, will be saved in the preset file.

In addition to matkeane's excellent answer I can add that we always save both the Setting (.config) and Preset (.vmix) as a pair. And when initiating a production first load the Settings and then the Preset to make sure we get everything right.
vMix always starts with the recently used settings. So in your case you have probably opened another Setting, that did not have your shortcuts.
vMix's current approach have advantages, and dis-advantages (in your case). Over the years the has been some Feature Requests for things like being able to open a Preset with a defined Settings and/or vice versa.

If you doubleclick a shortcut and check 'Local shortcut'(this preset only) then the shortcut will be saved in your preset.
