I have 1 virtual set with 2 overlays.
1 is the Talent
2 is 20 images that has been converted from PowerPoint.
and 2 video's

I will provide remote control to a remote presenter that is in front of a greenscreen
The talent will use a clicker app to put live what is in preview.
I have automated the setting the next global view in preview.

The only thing that I will do is use the zoom function of the virtual set (SelectIndex with value 1 2 3 4).
But beside the shortcut buttons how can I make sure that all the virtual sets have the same zoom, is there another option?

If not, how can I script to automate the creation of shortcuts?

PS: some background information about why I have 20 virtual sets with 20 different images is because the remote presenter will be able able to go to next view. This also includes the start of the 2 video's.

You do realize that one can change the content of a VS layer with shortcuts , the content could be pulled from a list ?

Hi doggy, thank you for taking the time to read my issue.

I know I can change the content of a layer via a shortcut. But how do I transition to a fullscreen video. while still provide the presenter control on when to start.

If I understand you correclty this is what you suggest:
Layer 1 - Background (full screen)
Layer 2 - Image (specific location) (controlled remotely)
Layer 3 - Talent (specific location)
Layer 4 - Video (full screen) (hard transition) and no way to control)

While I do this:
Preview - Live
Virtual set Virtual Set
Image 2 Image 1
Talent Talent

and the remotet presenter fade from preview to live (smooth transition)
Order of Play.
- Pre show (time when the broadcast starts)
- Anouncement of the talent
- virtual set with the talent and lower thirds
- Zoom out to full stage and Image 1
- image 2
- image 3
- image 4
- Video full screen
- Automatically to virtual set with image 5
and so on.

WOW my brain hurts
I mean i still not really get you goal (unable to fully visualize it)
En betwijfel of deze lijst in het Nederlands beter zou zijn ;-)

Because you are mentioning 20 VS's for same views wih different content i really would invest the time to look again at a way to streamline this all

tools : Multiviews, Mix inputs, merge transitions, lists , data sources , shortcuts (even scripts if needed)

I think I found a solution to my problem.
Still have to work on the details. But if it works, I can automate on what the action will be if you advance forward (that is my first focus)
Current research only will go to:
- the next item in a list.
- Play pause when playing a video
- fade to preview

All with one button or remote app (I use OctoCue)

Some people contact me about what I want to do.
So I will try to explain:

I have a virtual set with 1 presenter and a Virtual glass next to the presenter.
The presenter has a remote in hand to advance and go back normally in powerpoint what is set to the virtual glass next to the presenter.
During the presentation the presenter must be in control to go to the next slide
For this time the setup is a bit different. I have the following actions.
Virtualset with Slide1 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Slide2 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Slide3 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Remote speaker on glass (alpha channel set to 200)
Mergetransition to Remote presenter full screen (no alpha channel)
Virtualset with Slide4 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Slide5 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Slide6 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Slide7 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Movie playing on the virtual glass
Mergetransition to Movie Slide3 full screen (no alpha channel)
Virtualset with Slide8 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Slide9 on the virtual glass
Virtualset with Slide10 on the virtual glass
(and so on)

I have control on to where the virtual camera moves

To make the presenter in control. I thought to use for every slide a new virtualset and fade to them. and I need to have the zoom function for all the steps. that is why I want to add 23x 4 shortcuts.

I did have a chat with Doggy. he adviced to go with another option.
For the powerpoint slides (converted to images) to use a List. And put the video in the list.
But that leaves the remote presenter.

So I'm looking for a setup that the presenter still has control on when the remote presenter will be put on the virtual glass.
The zoom and removing the alpha channel is something that I can do.

So the open task for me is change the behavior of the <NEXT> button during an broadcast. So from fade, to next in list, to merge, to next in list.
This is almost done.

The best would be if we could enable/disable shortcuts via a shortcut.

Use a (mini) MIX in the multiview
on the one side you have the list , on the other the presenter , can tansition between both as input (can all be doen with shortcuts )

yes and no.
Yes I understand what you want to do. no it will not work.
There is only 1 button. and there is no option to quickly enable/disable shortcuts. I already asked support that.
So I have to go via a different route.

JMO

A presenter should stick to his job and let a producer do his . it's one thing to let a presenter to advance a slide base on his presenting and give a cue to the producer for the other parts.

letting it all be done with just one button is asking for problems , unless the presenter can manage several buttons for the different type of actions he should not be doing it (not to mention if something goes wrong , like advance to soon )

as said
