Alot of my vmix shows are using PIP setups with different sizes...
V24 is now supporting borders around overlay pips. thats nice.
what i really would love would be a border on part of the pip. (like only the lower and the right side of the pip) like a drop shadow effect known from other video mixing devices like Analog Way ASC series,... even nicer if there also would be an alpha shadow possibility on this border ... to make it smoother on the background
another feature which would be nice to have would be the possibility to have rounded corners (adjustable so you even could make round button style overlays...)
hopefully i could make myself clear :)
i LOVE vmix. its such a great tool and a big helper in those Covid19 times
but i used it for years before keep up the good work

yes. i found that ... maybe i didnt make myself clear enough but its only roundening the border not the video layer itself Screenshot 2021-03-11 115157.png (23kb) downloaded 0 time(s).but if you make the radius bigger than you could fake it... would only work on a solid colored BG not a custom picture Screenshot 2021-03-11 115234.png (28kb) downloaded 0 time(s).final result could be like this Screenshot 2021-03-11 115317.png (31kb) downloaded 0 time(s).but thanks for the reply

Borders are NOT a cropping tool!
UVMapping @ virtual sets Masking (Keying) graphics in Title's
are options for achieving this

Quote:Borders are NOT a cropping tool! i know i said... the effect i wanted to achieve could work like this ... didnt mean that this is the ultimate solution my feature request is... cropping the video layer itself NO masking no grafics i want this on LIVE video input (plus shadow of course... 😉)

With all due respect this was not at all clear from the original post Even more clear would have been "cropping the video layer itself with rounded corners" ( as cropping a video layer is possible ;-)

yes. not clear enough
sorry for that
it was my first post ... :)
for the shows we do i normally dont have the time to prepare so i need quick solutions. UV map and masking is great. but you need content from the client to prepare for this normally i dont get that in advance...
so an easy quick cropping tool in various forms would be a great solution for my kind of shows :) (we do alot of corporate events. no broadcast, tv ...)
