Hi

I just wanted everyone here to know that I have had a BIG problem with frame dropping by connecting a few PC´s to a main PC running vMix broadcasting and the more sources I add the worse frame dropping becomes.

I hired a net-specialized person to come to my company and figure this problem of mine out. Months of my own trial and error and after spending 9 hours with this specialist we found out the problem.

It seems like you need a professional switch and the ability to go inside it´s software to tweak, and what we did is turn off (or maybe it was on?) what is called "Flow Control" which is putting some sort of roof over the flow of information going through the network.

Hope this helps someone. I have had a problem with this now for more than a year and I would have never found this thing out if it wasn't for a specialist.

I'm having the same issue. Vmix 23.0.0.68- Windows 10 Pro V.2004- NDI Tool Kit 4.5-

Vmix reports that it's dropping almost half of its frames on a very powerful X299 build with a GTX1070. This is with a single NDI feed from the same machine via NDI Screen Capture software. My network is all Ubiquiti with a 10G switch via Fiber SFP. I also hired out help with getting my network up and running and am told that all the power saving settings are off.

I've forwarded this thread to my IT Guy but any additional insight you can offer on the process for exposing flow controls would be great.

I guess that if you are screen capturing at 60 fps and you are producing 30 vMix needs to drop every other frame...

@richardgatarski I think you are absolutely correct. Yes, VMix session is 720P 60, and Scan Converter is set to 720P 30. Thanks!

@richardgatarski I've now matched my Scan Converter and Vmix FPS and it's still dropping 2fps. Is this a factor of the original framerate of the content? If so that's really odd. Why would Scan Converter let you set the frames per second then. IS there some other solution that I should be using? The footage was shot in 23.98
