I'd like to create a lower third that's anchored to the lower right hand side of the screen, that uses the bound feature to keep an appropriately sized box behind it. Unless I'm missing something, this is impossible to do. In order to have the background box be bound and change size with the text, the text box has to be set to either Width or WidthAndHeight. When set to these modes, the box always grows to the right to accommodate more text.
Setting the text settings to Align Right doesn't do anything, nor does hitting the Object Align Right or Dock Right - the text box expands to the right as more content is added. The only way to get the text to actually Align Right and expand leftward with increasing characters is to set the Text Box to Fixed and make it large enough to accommodate the largest title you'd expect to use if for. The problem with this solution is that you now lose the ability to bound a box behind it that grows and shrinks with the text. It will be bound to the larger fixed box, not the content within.
There needs to be a way to set the anchor point to the right hand side of a text element, and have it expand leftward as you add more text. If there is a way to do this already, please let me know how. Thanks.
