I have a client (online news station) that is using all 8 vMix Call inputs on one PC (Greenroom-PC), using three more PC's (TD-PCs 1-3) to bring in a pair each of these callers using NDI do a 30-minute interview, then changes callers to different pairs. Each TD-PC uses a script/shortcut combination to change the Video Source of their pair of callers (on the Greenroom PC) to a double box from the TD-PC (via NDI). Currently they can assign one of three Outputs to each of three double boxes (remember Output #1 is Program Output), but when they add a 4th TD-PC they will not be able to do a return video feed.

To further complicate matters, they want to add a 2nd Greenroom PC in the near future.

Can VideoCallVideoSource allow Inputs?

Tom, I'm an idiot - cause I don't really understand the setup you are outlining. Feels that something is missing in your description...

Anyways, I believe your request is rather popular, and so for have not been fulfilled due to the resources needed. See for example https://forums.vmix.com/...-from-all-kind-of-inputs

Have you considered using Fullscreen(s), converted to NDI (e.g. via Magewell Pro Converters), as a way to get additional output feeds?

Sometimes it's hard to put into words a concept that is difficult for the author to grasp. But I think my FR is simple.

With a vMix Call Input I can select any one of the four Ouputs as return video to the caller. But only 1 of 4. If I have 5 callers and want a unique return feed to each, I'm out of luck.

So... I want caller1 to see Output1, caller2 to see Output2, caller3 to see Output3, caller4 to see Output4, and... caller5 to see an Input. That is my request.

isn't switching the output content on the fly not an option ?

Yes, but you're limited to the 4 outputs. The ability to send any input back to a caller would allow for more flexibility. For instance, each caller could have a unique, tailored return feed.

I only see this as a lacking option IF all callers need that individual return feed at the same time else changing the output source is one button or trigger away
Ok there is probably a good reason for each caller to have a personalized return feed at the same time although i don't see it really.
Are we turning vMix as production tool into a caller's personal erotica return feed tool? ;-)
Really hoping to return to pre covid soon
