We have a classical music festival coming in a few weeks.
One of the concerts is an opera in Italian, and the musical director is asking me to have realtime subs in French.
Obviously they will provide us with the translation, and they will also have a bilingual person available to to the actual "subtitle switching"
I am still debating on how to implement this in Vmix.
Data sources with Gt titles ? Png playlist files ? Web controller for the switching ?
How to reduce the possibility of mistake to a minimum etc ?
The person doing the switching could be sitting next to us and we could output anything for them on a screen.
If you guys have any ideas , please share !
Thanks
-L

Based on what you have available (translation ready , switching person ,..)
I would got for a datasource to a simple title with a subtitle look Each line to be displayed ( fitting in the title) being a row in the data source A few shortcuts for a "controller" to advance the data row , to backup a row and maybe a few to hide/show the title (sort of as emergency ) Have the data source open on a full screen for that "operator" to see and control from ( maybe have the original text if possible in the second column , might help the switcher)
