Did a multistream capture the other day - 3 streams at once - Looks like various recordings are off sync.

Any trick to sync these .TS recordings on record? Like is there a specific method to starting records first, then stream or stream, then record? The audio is horribly of sync so many of these recordings with Larix Broadcaster it seems.

I would stop and re-start the recording process while the streams were running - Is that a big nono? Should you just start streams first, THEN SRT streams and never turn off? Even if a phone drops?

Update on symptoms:

I did about 10 batches of 3 multi-streams. 2 were iPhone 12s and 1 was just audio. At #7, one of the iPhones went off sync and the other was fine - what transpired through this time was both Larix broadcasts were stopped and restarted - From there, iPhone #2 kept sync but #1 on all vMix START/STOPS of multi-stream records had a 1 second or so sync issue.

The .TS recordings of SRT are raw recordings from the source directly, they have not been modified in any way and are an exact copy of what Larix is sending.
So any sync issues will be due to bad timing from the source, so not much can be done about that in vMix unfortunately.

the Open SRT protocol is completely content agnostic and shuffles through whatever you feed it. The demo we did on stereo stream synchronization was a custom layer we put on top of the SRT transmission itself. It was multiplexing multiple network streams before sending it over the SRT link, demultiplexing it on the receiver side. Therefore the streams kept in sync on a network level. This demo project isn't included in the Open SRT package though.

Thanks,
