Hello all,
I've Been silent because been busy!, so here's another topic that came to me in a dream.
I bought an AKAI MPC mini to control my stuff and reduce the hassle of using my keyboard, I've setup a lot of keys with inputs sources, added shortcuts and activators, works nice but now the issue is back to one of my earlier posts on playlist control.
How can I add activators for playing specific playlist items as you do with regular inputs added to vMix?
Thanks for everything, I've been mastering vMix --at least for my needs--
Cheers

You would use shortcuts, activators just for button color.
Go to Settings>Shortcuts>Add Shortcut
Pick Input>ListPlayOut
Then select your list input.
Then pick the video you want to play below.

I guess I wan unclear on my previous message, sorry, my bad. Here's a screenshot of what I currently do on the Shortcuts section https://snipboard.io/HfVIUE.jpgAnd the activator section https://snipboard.io/pLm0yE.jpgThing is: How do I make a button lid when a specific playlist item. HTH. Thanks

Got it. You're right, activators don't dig down to the list video item level.

Are you asking for "Playlist" or "List"? That's unclear ! Playlist is designed to run unattended so it's only possible to start and stop. For list however, we already have all the necessary shortcuts and activators. I guess what you're looking for (if List is your concern) is "InputPlaying" as explained in the manual : https://www.vmix.com/help23/ActivatorExamples.html

Whaaat, Wow, List and Playlist are two different things?, no that's new for me. Originally Posted by: DWAM Playlist is designed to run unattended so it's only possible to start and stop. I guess what you're looking for (if List is your concern) is "InputPlaying" as explained in the manual : https://www.vmix.com/help23/ActivatorExamples.html I will explain it again. I created a List under Add Input, I added 25+ wav and mp3 sound effects, then I mapped those sound using a long button logic like this> AudioOn, SelectIndex=(# List), Restart, Play on the same button, then when i try to do the same for Activators, so that whn I press the "Applause" effect button it lids I can't seem to find the option for that when the items are on a (Play)List. Now, somehow (UN)related, I guess: Is there a way to optimize this whole bunch of stuff, I see vMix is laggish when loading my 84 Input production, that's a complaint AND/OR ISSUE i'D LIKE TO SORT OUT, BUT i'M JUST STARTING AND I BOUGHT THE HD($300+) version, sorry about the caps. Any idea on optimizing behavior? and my first point?. Thanks for creating vMix
