Hi
Doesn't anyone know if it's possible to completely disable "vmix video" as inputs in applications such as Zoom? It seems that even if vmix isn't running, it will still show up as an input with a test pattern.
long story short i started a new job and want to teach my new collegue to use vmix. He is used to "mixing" using the regular camera input in zoom and switching to another input using the screen share function. But when you have more than 2 sources, Zoom will cycle through them all, and you will have to click until you get the one you want, which is far from ideal, and looks terrible.
Until i can convince him to do everything in vmix, it would be really great to disable those "vmix video" inputs in zoom. And then active them again when it makes sense.
can anyone help?
Thanks in advance

AFAIK You cannot disable vMix's outputs from appearing as options, even with them disabled and vMix off, because they're basically 'devices' on the system. To get rid of them you'd have to uninstall whatever part of the vMix package puts them there, which would probably be a bad idea. It's much better to just have your coworker learn a better workflow, like sending everything through vMix instead of swapping back and forth.
