I used to use NDI, so want to know if there is anything new and if it has any advantages over my current setup.
I have a desktop computer with vMix on it and a laptop that I use for PowerPoint input into vMix. I used to use NDI as both computers are on the network via ethernet (not wifi). The problem I had was that if a PPT had an embedded video or audio, NDI would not send those to vMix.
I added an HDMI capture card to the desktop and now the laptop can input a PPT with embedded audio or video into vMix.
Question: Are there any advantages now with NDI over my current setup?
