vMix 4K and vMix Social have been released!

The new vMix features were unveiled on this week's StudioTech Live show with some brief demonstrations- http://youtu.be/itEf5DIZxNE

vMix 4K will allow users to utilise 4K video in their productions. This version of vMix replaces HD PRO and is now available for purchase from the website. Existing HD PRO users are able to upgrade by sending us an email.

vMix Social is now available for download via:

http://www.vmix.com.au/social

This new addition to vMix allows for social media integration into your production. You are able to use vMix Social to introduce Twitter, Facebook, IRC and Demo feeds directly into vMix.

A full vMix Social demonstration video can be viewed on our YouTube page-

Well done Martin, I watched the Studio Tech TV show today. Great show and the new updates are awesome.
Your team has done a fantastic job on bringing new updates to the table in such short time frames.

I noticed on your site that your now supporting the Matrox VS4 NEW. What is your opinion on this card?

Under Facebook settings after logging in and clicking the post button I'm not sure what to type in for the "name of my Facebook Page" Is it everything after the slash in the url? I tried my name. Also with a dot in the middle as it is after the slash. When I simply type Facebook and click find posts everything works as it should displaying the latest comments. Does this just work for business Facebook or Fan pages?

There are two options in vMix Social for Facebook, Post and URL.

Post

This can be used to search for a particular post on any facebook page.
Enter the page name by itself without the URL when using this option. Usernames or user profiles are not supported.

URL

Any web site page on facebook that has a comments feed can be entered here.
These can be individual posts and threads. One way to find the URL for a particular post is to
copy the URL of the time link under the posts title. For example the "6 hours ago" link.

Regards,

Martin

Are you using a public page or business page name (not a personal user profile). Once you enter in the page name, only posts that have comments available will start generating comments in vMix Social. You can also use the URL option to get comments from a specific post from a page (public pages only).

Hi,

You will need to email the facebook URLs you are having issues to to info@vmix.com.au
Then we can investigate further. Note that only public entries are supported, or entries that have been shared publically at some point (such as youtube shares etc)

Regards,

Martin

I just tried Vmix Social and I really like it, but is there a way to show the Facebook names as "Name Name" and not as "name.name"?
The "FromName" on the web interface is the way that i want it to show up in Vmix, but in Vmix it only shows the account name.

And is it normal that the messages from older search requests are still listed on the web interface?

hello great work
one thing should be added to vmix social , is to add username or password protection for the web interface of the vmix program , so that someone can unlock the web interface and start working since this software sends live data to the AIR , need to add a password lock when you launch the web interface of the program . also this password could be sit inside the software. is it possible , i have a vmix on a public server so that we control it over ip from another place , but the vmix social is now open for public , anyone knows the port will edit the social incoming messages and send them to air. please this security issue is very important .

regards

I would like to know, how the "Demo" Source in vMixSocial can be used. I'm currently trying to find a way to use a Textfile which has content, updated by another system, into vMix and I'm working on ways to implement non-irc chatrooms.

I think Martin did somewhere in the past tell something about the "Demo source" and how it can be used. But coudn't find this information anywhere at the moment. Any comments are appreciated!
