We are running Vmix for live streaming and using the HDMI video out port on the Laptop to send fullscreen to our projectors over ethernet. Just upgraded our HDMI over ethernet system and now getting a loud buzzing in our audio mix but goes away when I unplug the HDMI cable.

HDMI over Ethernet system used:gofanco 1x4 492ft 150m HDBaseT HDMI Extender Splitter 1080p Long Range Over Cat5e/Cat6/Cat7 Ethernet Cable with HDMI Loopout, PoC, Dual IR (1 in 4 Out / 4-Port)

HP Gaming Laptop with plenty of RAM and video processing (never an issue with it until now)

I have tried: unplugging laptop - plugging both systems into the same outlet - different cables

You have a ground loop. Very common with laptops. You need to lift the ground on your audio line. Either get a nice DI or one of these: https://www.bhphotovideo...rs/ci/15139/N/3992462126

That's assuming you are using XLR.

If you are capturing audio via 1/8" analog jack, then I'd highly recommend getting a USB capture device like the Scarlett instead: https://focusrite.com/en...ce/scarlett/scarlett-2i2
