Hi folks, Second time this week I’ve had to abandon a live to a Zoom Webinar because of a green screen overlay on my output. Any help and ideas : We are running the latest version of NDI tools, latest update on vMix…fully licenced Pro copy
Really not sure what is happening as we cant see the problem in the zoom window, only the viewers the other end see it trip and happen. Everything was sweet on the last lives at beginning of the year and nothing had changed our end. We have now updated everything though and the problem still happens. So when you output from vMix and using ndi on the same machine we push into a zoom meeting, and here comes the problem. After about ten or 15 seconds the picture goes green. Switch the NDI source off and on and it clears then happens again apparently.
Anyone had the problem or got any bright ideas.

Try forcing the output from the NDI Virtual Input to 720p, regardless of what you are running vMix at. Yes I have seen this before; but have not seen it crop back up once fixed.

Thanks both...this seems in line with our thoughts here as it is random who sees the green screen. Its deff not a vmix end as whatever we output to other NDi sources is fine. We had already fixed the output at 720 as this is always sweeter for web and most of the input side was 720 so no point trying to upscale. It was also odd that we couldnt see the green wash so it had to be something in processing post input to zoom. Seemed to trigger on sound peaks or where there was clearly more going on visually.

Update for anyone else reading this. The zoom update sorted the problem. By default zoom doesnt seem to auto update so some folks could still be using the software with the bug causing the problem, Seems its a problem for the viewer that only them updating will fix. Glad it wasnt our end ...thanks for the help from everyone.

Hi Grahamess! May I ask if everyone who will get the signal from vmix should update Zoom or only enough to update it in Vmix machine? Thank you...
Yusuf.

Hi Yusuf.....
This was a while ago. We updated our vMix and any other visual drivers etc, in particular NDi tools. We then found the fault was in the viewers end. Zoom doesnt or didnt auto update. If the viewer has the green output it was their copy of oom that needed the update. Hope this helps. It was puzzling us as we knew it wasnt our end. 100% if the viewing Zoom gets updated it will fix the problem. Good luck, Gra
