Hello.

One feature I am missing in vMIX is adding audio playback devices as inputs. OBS supports this for like 5 years. It will be much more convenient than using stereo mixes.

By definition, an "output" is not to be treated like an "input". This can cause many issues like infinite loops and larsen. Would you use your mixer's MAINS output as an input on the same mixer?

However, there are several ways to deal with this:
- use several audio interfaces and plug them together
- use virtual cables to patch any software audio output to vMix audio inputs
- use protocols like Dante or VBan
- use a free softwre mixer like VoiceMeeter Potato or Banana

PS: OBS audio management is definitely not what I would refer to as an example for vMix. If you'd like it better, why would you use vMix?

Yes, it can be done by using additional software/hardware. We are talking about convenience for general user.

You misread my original post, as there was no indication that I like OBS more.
