I'm trying to input a iPAD 2or 3 to Vmix.
it is not working.
thou the Media Express is input the PAD correctly with 1080 30p.

why the Vmix can not input the signal while the computer can?

What frame rate have you set in vMix?
There is an option for 29.97 and an option for 30, so try both to see which works.

Failing that, configure the format first in the Blackmagic Control Panel and use the "Blackmagic WDM Capture"
option in vMix.

Both of the advices are not working. also after restarts and vice versa & flip flop and mirror, only black screen :) (BM style)
The WDM works in Vmix only as NTSC SD, would not let me work with HD materials.

and I tried also driver 10 and 9.8.

still the same, it works with Media Express with 1080 30p.

Could you provide a screenshot of the settings selected in the Capture tab in vMix?
Also a screenshot of the error message if any would be helpful.

For the WDM driver you will need to configure it in the Blackmagic Control Panel first.
This is found in the control panel and you can select a video format there.

Screenshots

I've attached a few screenshots:

1. BM WDM Driver; I select the HDMI input (note that the default video standard is stack on NTSC)
2. BM WDM Driver-2_Processing off;
3. Media Express Working; The iPad 3 works perfectly with 1080 30p.
4. Input Select 1080 30p; trying to input to vMix in the same parameters as media express, gives a black screen.
5. Statistics_BM working; even thou the input is black, the statistics is inputs.
6. trying 720 30p_get a vMix Error AND WDM_Capture+Error;
any resolution I'm trying to input as WDM, i get this error.
if I input the exact resolution the vMix want's, i get a black screen.

Thank you very much, is there's something i missing?

Thanks,

It appears the Mini Recorder does not allow selecting a format with the WDM driver which is unfortunate.
Try ticking the box "Use 1080p not 1080psf" and then trying 1920x1080 and 30p in vMix using Decklink Video Capture.

Martin

The issue you're having is Ipad's HDCP. That's what's causing the black screen. I use an hdmi 1x2 splitter (Calrad)... This works with filtering out the HDCP issue you're having. Hope this helps...
