I am having difficulty in getting the audio monitoring and paths that I want. Please can someone tell me what's wrong...
Inputs
x8 vmix call - routed to master , Bus A & B x1 ndi Laptop running microsoft teams - Routed to Bus A (client chat to vmix call) 1x Video, routed to Master (holding animation) 1x Laptop Mic, routed to Bus A & B (vmix and microsft teams talkback)
Video outputs
Master, Master audio Output 2, Bus A (Vmix Call) Output 3, Bus 3 (Microsoft teams)
Outputs are on and with corresponding audio output and all ndi functions on.
Audio Settings Master output- default windows playback Headphones - Headphones realtek R audio A - enabled B - enabled
My problem. I cant monitor any of the inputs without soloing them at the input or bus, unless I send them to the master. Then I can hear everything. I do not want to send some inputs to the master mix but still want to hear them. Can I make it so all audio can be heard if its toggled on. Unless I chose to have it not in the headphones. The problem comes when trying to listen to the vmix call and microsoft teams chat without broadcasting it? Any advice please.

Hello. Go to Settings -> Audio Outputs. Select an output audio device for a BUS you want to monitor. Be sure to enable audio on that bus.

Just tested it out, it works. Added a music track to BUS A, and set output to headphones. Clicked a speaker icon on BUS A and heard the sound from headphones.

I have tried it out quickly and it seems to have sorted it. I had to re-assign the vmix calls audio setting afterwards. Im going to give it a full test later and see how I get on. Thanks. Knew it had to be something simple.

going on what you las said if I activate headphones for audio outputs A & B I lose bus b in the mixer completely.
If I put bus B on enabled then it comes back but only works if master is on.
After a play around the best setup appears to be
Master - enabled Headphones - Headphones realtek
A - Enabled B - Enabled
This mostly works how I want it to. If I so bus A then I can hear all the backchat outside master. If I un solo then I can hear the main mix.
Do I have the best solution to my inital setup?
Thanks

You can try the following. Enable additional BUS C only for monitoring. Set headphones output only for this bus.
Add BUS A and BUS B as audio inputs in vMIX. Route them to monitor bus. Enable/disable routing if you need to hear 1 or more inputs.
