Hope someone has seen this before;

Since I use two inputs to represent a camera something goes wrong on restarting the project file.
On reloading the project the next day both inputs are there , but the connection to the camera is gone. Once reconnecting the camera everything works fine, but on the next restart
the connection is lost again.

we use two inputs because we need a cropped version and a full version of the image.

Camera input is HDMI.
The only unusual thing could be we use a small set of presets that are saved over and over again.

I'm probably overlooking something obvious,
