Downloaded and eager to try the software. Works well until I try to send the output to our Blackmagic Decklink HD Extreme. Driver version 8.5 doesn't work at all..with the Blackmagic device not showing in the Vmix settings panel. Went back to my original driver (version 7.9 which works great with Sony Vegas 10 and Premiere CS 5.5) and device showed up and I could start it, but it sends a still to the monitor and then locks up Vmix completely, requiring me to end the task via task manager.

I'm downloading version 8.2 drivers now to try those. All my settings are correct (went through your mini-tutorial in the help files) and I use the blackmagic card daily with the two editing programs and as a capture and playback device using Blackmagic's Media Express, so very familar with all it's various hardware settings and controls.

Any help is appreciated...would LOVE to use (and buy) the software and it's simple, clean interface is perfect for my needs, which are simple presentations and webcasting.

Hi,

There is a known bug with the Blackmagic drivers apparently not registering with DirectShow, I have sent a query to Blackmagic-Design to hopefully resolve the issue.
There is also an issue with External output and the blackmagic design cards that has been fixed in the next release due soon.

To fix the first issue so you can use the cards as inputs in vMix under the latest drivers try the following:

Download and run: http://www.vmix.com.au/download/blackmagicfix.exe

In the meantime you can also try vMix 2011 v9b to use the External Output feature:
