Would like to stream VMix from one machine to VMix on another machine.

Not via remote desktop...

Not via the almost worthless Windows Media Stream...

I want to stream it DIRECT... High quality... With a dedicated VMix input type.

You know we want it...

And we want it at a reasonable price...

Stop worrying about what it will do to your revenue stream....

Stop worrying about how customers might use it to circumvent features you are planning to upsell...

Just put it in there, and enjoy being the best at what you (can) do.

It is a big market. Provide it at a reasonable cost, and the world will beat a path to your door.

Too expensive, and the world will go elsewhere.

Make VMix the leader in this market!

Hi,

You can install a Decklink Mini Monitor on one machine to output video and a Decklink Mini Recorder on other machine to receive it.
This is the best, most reliable, and highest quality way to send the vMix output to another machine also running vMix.

Raw HD video is approximately 124 MBytes/second, this approximately the maximum theoretical speed of Gigabit Ethernet, so some compression would be required at a minimum
which starts to use up CPU resources on both machines. The setup described above is both affordable and high quality and solves the problem.

As for the talk about revenue, there are no bean counters, investors or directors telling us
what features to include or not. New feature development almost entirely based on customer demand weighed up against the time and resources required to build it.

Regards,

Martin

I like that sound... no bean counters controlling development.

Thanks for the tip.

But still, if you can remote desktop, if you can remote stream, given a wee bit of compression, a dedicated vmix input can be added :)
