Please advise on a solution as based on the below points.

  • I have 15 broadcasters that I would like to send.

  1. They are using Vmix/Wirecast to send streams

  1. I would like to offer a solution to contribute and distribute the services on FTA (Free to Air) via Satellite and Terrestrial to DTT providers.

  1. I already have both terrestrial and satellite platforms ready

  1. I have a zixi contribution platform in which I would like my customers to send me streams using their existing setup since I wouldn't like to change their current setup i.e by using Zixi app encoder to send streams from the end.

  • How can I integrate Vmix to send the stream to Zixi at my teleport where I will be sending streams to DTT provider and still be able to uplink via satellite?

Not quite clear !

I feel like you want to be a middle man or middle platform between content creators and MVPD. That's basically what Zixi does already (as well as many others, like Elemental, Bitmovin, etc...).

Please add a synoptic diagram so that we can make sure what your requirements are. But I believe that you should explain your project to Zixi and their competitors directly so that they can explain what they can do for you and quote their service.

Let me rephrase my question.

My customer is using Vmix/Wirecast, how can I input streams to Zixi from Vmix/Wirecast on the same PC?

Zixi offers and supports more than 15 protocols for ingestion, including RTMP, NDI, SRT and so on... They also provide their own protocol, called Zixi and their own software solution which is compatible with vMix and Wirecast.

They also offer a trial if you get in touch with them, which, I rephrase, is also the first thing to do if you intend to work with them for such a project.

Much appreciated for your support DWAM.

I was able to get Zixi feeder for wirecast downloaded, installed and able to send streams.

The only issue now is I'm getting glitches on the stream.
The configuration setting as below from Zixi feeder on wirecast. Feeder configs.png (225kb) downloaded 5 time(s).

The broadcaster has 2 mb internet link dedicated.

Please advise if I have the right setting or where I might have gone wrong.

I'm glad you've moved forward in the right direction
However your issue here is in no way related to vMix, so you'd better use the Wirecast forum or report to the Zixi support staff.

Make sure :
- your PC is fast enough for live encoding
- you have enough bandwidth available
- knowing that you stream from Africa, you might experience a lot of network congestion

1.5 Mbit is maybe too much for a 2 Mbit line
Try reducing to 1.2 Mbit and see

However for 720p, normally you should stream by 3.5/5 Mbits to get good image quality and good audio...

I have been playing a bit with Zixi... it is pretty awesome at pushing a stream thorugh!

Best way I found was to use the Zixi OBS integration. Run it on the same PC as the vMix machine and use the vMix Audio and Video inputs.

It is pretty cool. It will bond internet connections and all sorts!
