I am new to NDI. Purchased a Panasonoc AW-HE38H PTX camera that advertised "out of the box" NDI/HX capability. But when I try to add a new input, vMix does not detect the NDI source from the camera. Went to NuTek tools and got directed to a site to purchase a $299 NDI/HX license. Hoping that's not the answer because I didn't budget the $300 per camera....

Any help is much appreciated!!

I'm afraid, that's the answer. Got a similar camera that's upgradable.

On the Panasonic website it is stated that you have to purchase a licence:

Yeah, HE38H doesn't have NDIhx without license.

What you can do is get Panasonic's Virtual USB plugin. You can download it here https://eww.pass.panason...d/EN/ep2main/vusb_e.htm.

After adding it, you can add it as a camera input. It will show up as a USB device.

Good luck, hope that helps.

The BirdDogs come with FULL NDI on board. No extra, just PnP
