I wish to use vmix to stream live plays. I am very new to vmix.

I have set up a camera, I have a good USB mic to pick up actors. I want to be able from time to time to play scene into music or sfx and I want the ability to fade music or sfx at the touch of a button. I have tried setting up a shortcut pointing to SetVolumeFade with parms 0,4000 with input pointing at the track I want to play. This works once, just fine. However, the volume stays at 0, how can I restore the volume back so I can play that track multiple times.

I am finding the descriptions that go with the many functions not very helpful, so if someone can point me to more intuitive function descriptions that'd be good too.

Any help would be gratefully recvd.

Thanks

It's the same function, the parameters would be 100,4000 for example, for a volume of "100%". With scripting you could use one button for fading in and out. But if you're new to vMix you should probably start with two buttons.

Many thanks for your response. That helped a lot. Question, if I created just the one shortcut with two functions in it. The first to lower the vol and the second to restore it, can I assume the second function will wait till the first one completes before it fires??
