I am pretty sure it was previously possible to select which video and sound device to use in Chrome (on Windows 10). Now (v 76.0.3809.100) these two dropdowns are dimmed in Chrome. In Firefox (v 68.0.1) it is still possible to select. Other apps, eg StarLeaf's web UI allows the user to select the source in Chrome before joining the meeting. See attached screen dump. Anyone else having this issue? StarLeaf-select-sources.png (211kb) downloaded 5 time(s).

Richard, In my chrome browsers, here are the steps to change microphone and/or camera... see screenshots below When connected to a vMix call 1 - Click on the little camera icon at the end of the address line 2 - The current equipment is shown, but you must click the Manage button to make changes 3 - A new tab opens where you can select pages for microphone or camera 4 - Select your new item from the appropriate list (here changing microphone from my webcam to my audio interface) 5 - Most important... REFRESH the connected call tab... this reloads vMixCall with the new devices (and can be confirmed by clicking the little camera icon) I hope this is useful in your setup. Step 1 step1.jpg (48kb) downloaded 4 time(s).Step 2 step2.jpg (63kb) downloaded 2 time(s).Step 3 step3.jpg (65kb) downloaded 1 time(s).Setp 4 step4.jpg (37kb) downloaded 0 time(s).Step 5 step5.jpg (103kb) downloaded 1 time(s).

Huge thanks Alan! I did click the Manage button before, but apparantly was too ignorant to understand that another scroll and step was necessary. All the best, /R

Richard, The post above is when they are already connected to a vMix call. If they want to select equipment before they connect... it's REALLY buried in the Chrome settings menu. Here are the steps 1 - Click on menu and select settings 2 - Click on Advanced 3 - Click on Privacy and Security then click on Site Settings4 - Click on either camera or microphone 5 - Select device from the pull down menu Step 1 stepa.jpg (165kb) downloaded 0 time(s).Step 2 stepb.jpg (81kb) downloaded 1 time(s).Step 3 stepc.jpg (140kb) downloaded 0 time(s).Step 4 stepd.jpg (97kb) downloaded 0 time(s).Step 5 stepe.jpg (85kb) downloaded 2 time(s).

I've been trying to get the vMix Call window to recognize my Blackmagic switcher as the camera input, but it's just not working. I can change my microphone input to the Blackmagic, but when I try to change the camera the same way, it just stays on Facetime Camera. Using the latest version of Chrome.
Google Chrome is up to date Version 84.0.4147.105 (Official Build) (64-bit)
Any ideas?

Oh, well that's interesting. I can get NDI to come up as the camera, but not the Blackmagic.

Beta vmix was the easiest way to solve this BUT it only manages the camera and microphone not speakers. So callers still have issues getting the speaker settings right.

Many clients that connect to vMix Call with a link can often be too technically challenged to navigate through all of the Chrome settings to achieve changing their mic and camera. If there was a way that a user can click the vMix Call link and during that process be able to choose from a dropdown of connected devices, this would be a game changer!
